Police spent part of Wednesday, June 5, searching the Farmington home, which is listed for sale on Realtor.com for $4.35 million

"During this criminal investigation, search warrants have been obtained and served on properties owned by Fotis Dulos," said New Canaan Police Lt. Jason Ferraro. "Details regarding these searches will not be released as it could compromise this very active criminal investigation."

Ferraro said that in addition to the searches, state police continue to "diligently comb through mountains of trash" at the Materials Innovation and Recycling Authority located in Hartford in search of evidence.

Jennifer Dulos, 50, of New Canaan, has not been seen since dropping off her five children at school on Friday, May 24. Her black Chevy Suburban was found abandoned on the side of Lapham Road near Waveny Park after she was reported missing.

Officers are also digging through more than 225 tips received by the department since the disappearance, Ferraro said.

The request made earlier this week to residents of New Canaan to provide video surveillance from homes or businesses has resulted in nearly 70 responses, he added.

The couple had been going through a contentious divorce for at least two years, and Jennifer Dulos has stated on several occasions that she was afraid of her husband and feared for her safety.

Fotis Dulos, 51, and his girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, 44, have been arrested in connection with the case on charges of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and hindering prosecution. The duo was arrested on Saturday, June 1, and are being held on $500,000 bond.

They were arrested after being seen on video surveillance dumping garbage bags that revealed bloody items connected to the case in some 30 spots in Hartford. Court documents said that the bags contained clothing and a kitchen sponge that were covered in Jennifer Dulos’ blood.

Police also found several bloodstains on the garage floor and on a parked vehicle in Jennifer Dulos' Welles Lane home as well as “multiple areas of blood splatter.”

The couple's five children, all under age 13, are being cared for by Jennifer Dulos' mother and a nanny in New York City.

Anyone with information related to this case should contact the New Canaan Police Department tip line at 203-594-3544.

Anyone with surveillance cameras that captures vehicle traffic in front of their home or residence in New Canaan from Wednesday, May 22nd through Saturday, May 25th should email Officer Kelly Coughlin at Kelly.coughlin@newcanaanct.gov.
